PORT HURON, MI — John Frederick Parrish, 78, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

He was born December 20, 1943 in Port Huron to the late Orville and Ethel Parrish. He married Fran Riley on February 25, 1974 in Port Huron.

John was a professional musician and also a machinist for 10 years. He loved his church, reading his Bible and playing the piano at church. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Detroit Tigers.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Fran; two daughters, Michelle (Tim) Higgins and Laura (Jay) Smith; two grandchildren, Brooke Higgins and Josh Coulter; his beloved cat, Oreo; siblings, Sharron Morden (Norm Schraeder) and Janet (Albert) Randolph; one niece and three nephews; and in-laws, Locklin Riley, James Riley and Joann (Lester) Wilkins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022 in First Baptist Church of Goodells. Pastor Matthew Crow will officiate.
