PORT HURON, MI – Mr. Walter W. "Wally" Armstead, age 77 of Port Huron, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2022 in Marwood Nursing & Rehab.

He was born on December 18, 1944 in Port Huron to the late Clark and Charlotte Armstead. Wally married Virginia L. Langolf on April 4, 1964 in Port Huron. He was a Mueller Brass Company employee and retired from Wirtz Manufacturing. Wally enjoyed bowling and flying racing pigeons along with fishing and boating. He was a member of the Blue Water Free Methodist Church, a former Trustee, Sunday School Teacher and helped with the church camp program.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, daughter, Ann (Bob) Vansickle, 8 grandchildren, Adam, Aaron, Jacob, Jaycee, Timothy, Elijah, Mya and Emmanuel, 2 great-grandsons, Cohen and Colby, sister, Carlie Ripkey, brother and sister-in-law, Clark (Norma) Armstead, brother-in-law, Jim Fournier and several nieces and nephews that were very special to him.

Wally was preceded in death by his son, Brent Armstead and sister, Valarie Fournier. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Blue Water Free Methodist Church, 1963 Allen Road, Kimball. Pastor Randy Bennett will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Port Sanilac Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm at church.
